EDGAR SCOTT
Edgar Scott, President of Core Capital Realty, Inc., is a licensed real estate broker and registered investment advisor. He is a member of the Chester County Board of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. Prior to forming Core Capital Realty, Inc. in 1992, Scott was an associate broker with Jackson-Cross Company for 14 years.
Scott completed his first low-density assignment in 1988, a 145-acre project in Chadds Ford, PA. In 1997 he completed another low-density project of 173 acres in Radnor Township, PA. In both cases, the properties were owned by trusts with fiduciary responsibilities.
EXPERIENCE:
Land
- 1978 - sold 1,700 acres in Chester County, PA
- 1979-80 - completed a 12,500 acre multi-property acquisition for Hercules in Georgia and Florida
- 1980-81 - completed a feasibility study for the sale of the 6,500 acre King Ranch property in Chester County, PA
- 1988 - sold 145 acres in Chadds Ford, PA in a low-density format
- 1996-97 - sold 173 acres in Radnor Township, Delaware County, PA in a low-density format
- 1979 to present - sold numerous 50 to 200-acre properties as farms, estates and for conventional development
Office &
Industiral
- 1978-84 - acting as a real estate broker, leased or sold over 1.4 million SF of office and industrial space.
- 1985-92 - acting as an investment broker, sold over 3.5 million SF of commercial buildings for a total consideration of in excess of $150 million
Other Real Estate
Experience
- Completed successful workouts of over 750,000 SF of buildings for First National Bank of Chicago, Michigan National Bank and Scott Paper.
- Negotiated "net bond" sale/leaseback obligations for Pennwalt Corp. and Columbia Gas
- Developed proprietary methods for restructuring "net bond" corporate leases to reduce corporate rental obligations and improve the financial performance of the investment for the building owner

- Received a BA in 1977 from the University of Pennsylvania.
- Continuing education courses and seminars have been completed at the Wharton School, the University of Delaware, the Real Estate Institute of New York University, the Commercial-Investment Real Estate Council, and the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute.
